Kids are different. They needs lots of different ways to plug into a church. We are meeting their needs with
a diverse program that offers something for almost everybody!
The United Methodist Youth meets in the Family Life Center on Sundays from 1:30 to 3:30 PM except during the
summer months. There are small groups to help kids share their thoughts and get close, recreational activities,
a meal, and special programs, too. The group has a newsletter which is sent monthly to participants in the
youth program.
The United Methodist Youth plans annual missions trips every summer to help those in need. These trips can
literally change a young person's life, teaching them about helping people less fortunate then they are. This
year we have projects for Middle and Senior High!
Sunday School Classes are offered for Middle High and Senior High from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM. The classes are
located in the Youth Wing of the Family Life Center.
Missions are a huge part of what we do! There are many opportunities offered throughout the year, including Box
City, Relay for Life, Day of Caring, etc.
Youth participate in the Chrysalis spiritual development retreat. Contact LeeAnn if you are interested.
Do you want to go fishing? We have a group that meets once a month to do just that! Call Ken Neese at 704-289-6070
to sign up!
Sunday Lunch: Meet at the "crossroads" Sundays at noon to go out to lunch with your friends every other Sunday!
Bring money and plan to stay for Youth at 1:30 P.M.
The youth also plan and lead an impressive Youth Worship Service annually. It involves almost every aspect of the
youth program, from music groups to dance and puppetry. Our high school seniors deliver great sermons, too!
And of course, we offer lots of summer activities as well, including pool parties, visits to water parks, baseball
games, the skating rink, bowling, and much, much more! Contact LeeAnn if you need more info.
