UPWARD Basketball and Cheerleading
|
Upward Basketball and Upward Cheerleading offer a break from the norm. The primary focus of Upward is to develop
the Winner in EVERY child, not just a few. By keeping this goal in mind, we are able to build a league that
promotes salvation, character, and self-esteem in all who participate through:
- Sportsmanship and competitiveness in proper perspective by not maintaining league standings in any division.
- Maximizing the family schedule by having only one hour of practice and one game each week.
- Encouraging each player with a gameday award following every game.
Registration forms are available from Mary Ann Burns or at several locations around the church. Parents may drop
off their registration forms any time from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday.
The early registration cost per child for basketball or cheerleading is $60; after November 2, the cost is $70.
Deadline for registration is November 9.
Basketball shorts are optional at a cost of $15. Cheerleading mock turtlenecks are optional at a cost of $15. Register early.

- Tuesday, November 17, between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm
Last Names N through Z
- Thursday, November 19, between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm
Practices begin thee week of Monday, November 30, 2009
First Game is Saturday, January 9, 2010
Awards Celebration is Saturday, March 6, 2010
