Katherine Moore Price Concert Series

Wednesday, November 28
On Wednesday, November 28, Bonita Simpson and her students will delight and entertain us with their lovely dances. Bonita is famous in these parts for being an excellent ballet teacher, choreographer, and director. She is responsible for the production of "The Nutcracker Ballet" which is performed so beautifully and professionally at Wingate University each December. Those who were here a few years ago for Bonita’s dance program will remember it as one of the best shows of the entire year. Bonita has graciously agreed to a return engagement this year, featuring her students (a few of whom are members of CUMC) performing scenes from "The Nutcracker Ballet". It promises to be a special evening, one that will inspire us all for the Advent season which is just around the corner! Make plans to join us at 6:45 pm. in the Family Life Center on November 28 for this fun and delightful program. You will be amazed at the talent these kids have!

Katherine was a long time active member of Central and served in various capacities during her lifetime. Katherine had a long teaching career in education. She contributed her time and talents to our church as well as establishing scholarships at Duke University and Guilford College. Her husband was Curtis Price and both were from the Wesley Chapel - Weddington area of Union County. They were also supporters of Central's endowment fund. It was her desire to use these funds to provide outstanding leaders in various fields and to attract new members and guests of all ages to Central.
